Here is our latest template creation: Crystal! This template comes with a super swish fixed menu bar on top of the site. Crystal also sets new standards in the use of PNG alpha transparencies. You can create stunning effects using multiple transparencies when you place transparent modules on transparent backgrounds. It also comes with a great selection of background color variations and further you are able to easily apply your own custom background images.

Crystal offers lots of different color variations for menu items, allowing you to style every page in a different color. The background color of the drop down menu also changes when you change a menu item’s item color. Of course, you can combine all menu item-based color variations with all module color variations … variety galore!

By the way: We also wanted our ZOO component to fit into Crystal visually, so we included black CSS styles for ZOO. Now you can seamlessly integrate ZOO into the new YOOtheme Crystal template.
Warp5 updates

We added some minor stuff to our Warp5 framework. The YOOmorph JavaScript allows now to use an ignoreSelector and we added some new module templates.

Get your hands on Flux, the newest YOOtheme template creation. Flux is based on the new Warp5 Joomla template framework and is designed with a chromish style which looks perfect for example for gaming sites.

Flux shines with its flashy menu bar, for which we once again used our amazing fancy menu: The menu items look like they are buttons pushed into the menubar. Also the YOOsearch and the breadcrumbs fit in perfect with the template design. Of course, Flux comes with our awesome new Warp5 menu that you might already know from our last template Phoenix. It also allows you to publish modules in the dropdown menu and, like all our templates, it comes with loads of module variations.

Warp5 updates

We also added some new features to our Warp5 framework:

* The fancy menu effect is now also applied to modules published on the menu position.
* The effect of the fancy menu remains even when the cursor goes off the dropdown and back on again.
* You can assign individual widths for modules published in the dropdown via the Module Class Suffix, for example: dropdownwidth-255.
* You can set individual dropdown widths for menu items via the Page Class Suffix, for example: columnwidth-200.
* You can turn off background images for a specific menu via the Menu Class Suffix, for example: images-off.
* We also improved a few module templates.

And because nothing tastes better than thin we also sent our April template to a slimming cure: Tweety steps into the shoes of our popular MEE template. We created it in MEE’s slim style, but of course Tweety comes with all the sophistication of our 2009 templates. Put it on your wall! Our february template Pinboard is made of 5 different materials and you also get to choose from a wide range of nice wallpapers. More than 210 combinations are possible.

Pinboard comes with a largest collection of modules… we updated the designs of our popular post-it and polaroid styles and created completely new designs like cardboard, a note on checkered paper, oldschool printing paper and a tile. We also added 6 magnets and a pin. Together there are more than 80 different module combinations possible.

Most importantly we made use of our new overrides to create different stylings for blog layouts and other components. In this template the blogposts of the blog layouts (frontpage, section, category) appear on individual sheets of paper.

We proudly present our new template: Way Beyond! Our first template to come with overrides for the Joomla core. What does that mean?

It means that we got rid of Joomla’s tables. The whole content area is free of tables now, and we developed very neat CSS for our overrides, too. We did that to give you full control over the look of your website. Now you can easily style every part of your Joomla website with CSS. We rewrote all of Joomla’s core components and threw out a bunch of unnecessary code, so now your site will load faster as well.

Also we optimized our module framework. From now on you every styling you can apply via the module class suffix will work on any module position, no matter what kind of background that position has.

Our typography got polished, too. There are a couple of new elements like the drop caps you can put at the beginning of paragraphs and left and right insets to align your content more easily.
