Template: PrimeTime
Developer: RocketTheme
Version: Joomla 1.0.x & Mambo 4.5.3
PrimeTime is the first template available via our new MamboDev template club. This template is what I like to call a medium colored fixed width portal. The whole color scheme of this design is dictated by the main header, module headers, and an accent color. The rest is very neutral with a predominantly white content area.
This template has an auto-contracting ‘newsflash’ area, as well as an auto-contracting ‘right’ column that allows it to accomodate width hungry components such as galleries and forums.
Overview
An overview of the key features of this template are as follows:

Installation
Installation for this template is simple procedure:
1. First install the template via the administrator as you normally do.
2. NOTE: In order for the menu elements to be next to each other and not widely spaced you need to perform the following step: Create a new a new menu position called menu. If you don’t know how to do this please refer to the FAQ - Putting a module in a custom module position
3. Place your modules in their appropriate positions as shown in the module positions diagram below.

* Joomla 1.0+ compatible
* Mambo 4.5.1+ compatible
* XHTML 1.0 Transitional
* CSS Validated
* Lightweight and fast loading
* Mozilla/Firefox/IE/Opera Friendly
* Fixed width design
* Neutral color base with easily modifiable accents and headers
* Auto-contracting ‘newsflash’ and ‘right’ module positions

Template: Blogtopia
Developer: RocketTheme
Version: Joomla 1.0.x & Mambo 4.5.3
Blogtopia is the second template available through the MamboDev Template Club. This template is specifically tailored towards blogging sites. It is a basic grey template with a fixed right column for modules. A large header is the main graphic element, and replacing this alone, can totally transform the design. This template features a pure CSS dropdown menu solution based on the well known suckerfish menus. This is a MamboDev Exlusive!
This template is a narrow blog-friendly width with very clean and easy to read font size and spacing. This template makes a great solution for those personal sites that you want to keep simple and professional looking.
Overview
An overview of the key features of this template are as follows:
* Joomla 1.0+ compatible
* Mambo 4.5.1+ compatible
* XHTML 1.0 Transitional
* CSS Validated
* Lightweight and fast loading
* Mozilla/Firefox/IE/Opera Friendly
* Fixed width design
* Grey color base with easily modifiable accents and headers
* Exclusive Suckerfish CSS based menu solution
Some screenshots showing this ability can be seen below:

Installation
1. First install the template via the administrator as you normally do.
2. The horizontal nav is automatically positioned, and it will put whatever elements you have in your “topmenu” there. Please note that this does not work well if you have a lot of menu items. If you limit the top-level to 5 you should be ok.
3. Feel free to add up to 2 levels deep from the top level. The menu wil l automatically handle this.
4. This template only has “top” and “right” module positions, so you will have to move your modules into their respective positions as shown below:

Template: DigitalEther
Developer: RocketTheme
Version: Joomla 1.0.x & Mambo 4.5.3
The April 2005 template is now available. This template is in direct response to the results gathered from the recent Future Template Club Survey. The responses clearly indicated that you were looking for a light template, with fixed width and center aligned. The navigation system was a statistical tie so I decided to implement a brand-new menu based on the very cool “TransMenu” sliding menu system. I think you will enjoy this as it’s once again a MamboDev exclusive!
This template has an auto-contracting ‘left’ column, as well as an auto-contracting ‘user1’ area that allows it to accomodate width-hungry components such as galleries and forums.
Overview
An overview of the key features of this template are as follows:
* Joomla 1.0+ compatible
* Mambo 4.5.1+ compatible
* XHTML 1.0 Transitional
* NEW! Transmenu based sliding menu system
* Works with Mamblefish!
* Very Lightweight and fast loading
* Mozilla/Firefox/IE/Opera Friendly
* Fixed width design, floated in the center of the page
* Light and neutral color palette with easily modifiable accents.
* Auto-contracting ‘left’ and ‘user1’ module positions
Some screenshots showing these capabilities can be seen below:

Installation
Installation for this template is simple procedure:
1. First install the template via the administrator as you normally do.
2. This template uses the module positions pretty much as they come out of the box. So it should be a simple procedure to get this template up and running very quickly.
3. The mainmenu will automatically be picked up and put into the correct place for this template. Please limit the number of top level menu items to 5 and then put everything else in submenus. This is demonstrated in the Demo.
4. Top module position has a fixed height (like SolarFlare) so you will have to modify your newflash items so they are not too large and get cut off.
5. Left module position should not be used on pages where you have a width-hungry component as it does not leave much room for content. In the demo I only use Left modules on the Homepage.
6. User1 module position can be used for anything, but I advice using the Random Image module in this position to rotate a banner. Again looks best if only on the Homepage.
7. User3 module position defaults to “TopMenu”. I’ve left this as-is but you might want to rename the menu to “BottomMenu” or something.
8. I’ve created a “New” module and just entered a little FreeText and set the module position to “Footer”. This should allow you to easily modify your footer without messing with the template files.
9. TIPS I strongly suggest turning off Create Date, Author, Modified Date, & Back Button for this template as it gives a cleaner, more professional look.

Version: Joomla 1.0.x & Mambo 4.5.3
Template Club members now have access to a brand new bonus template for May. This template has been developed due to numerous requests for a Variable-Width version of April’s DigitalEther template. This template uses the same variable-max system as is used in the mamboserver.com template. The navigation system uses the exclusive menu based on the very cool “TransMenu” sliding menu system.
This template has a variable-width layout that scales down to 800×600 and has a maximum size that retains readability on 1600×1200 and above resolutions.
Overview
An overview of the key features of this template are as follows:
* Joomla 1.0+ compatible
* Mambo 4.5.1+ compatible
* XHTML 1.0 Transitional
* NEW! Transmenu based sliding menu system
* Works with Mamblefish!
* Very Lightweight and fast loading
* Mozilla/Firefox/IE/Opera Friendly
* Variable-Width with maximum width control
* Support for more module positions than DigitalEther
* Light and neutral color palette with easily modifiable accents.

7. User2 and User3 module positions are new for Aphelion and were not included in the original DigitalEther template. These probably should only be used no the Homepage.
8. User4 module position should be used for a second flat menu. I advice moving the default Topmen module from User3 to this User4 position.
9. I’ve created a “New” module and just entered a little FreeText and set the module position to “Footer”. This should allow you to easily modify your footer without messing with the template files.

Split-Menu information
The split-menu system uses the mainmenu menu configured in the admin administator. For this to function correctly understand that the ‘top level’ menu items will show up as the horizontal buttons across the top of the template. For sub menu items, assign Parent Item to these top menus to the top-level item. These will then show up on the left a the top of the left column when you click on the top-level. For an example of this check out the demo server
Instructions
1. Install as normal using the Site Templates Installer
2. Left modules should ALWAYS use a module title or they will not display properly.
3. Follow the Module Position guid below to see the available module positions and place your modules accordingly.
